We focus on providing specialized care for children with ear, nose, and throat (ENT) conditions.

Led by Dr. Gregory Duplechain, a compassionate and experienced ENT specialist, our practice is dedicated to ensuring the health and well-being of our youngest patients.

Understanding Pediatric ENT Health

Children are susceptible to a variety of ENT conditions that can affect their quality of life and overall development. Common pediatric ENT issues include:

  1. Ear Infections: Acute otitis media (ear infections) and chronic otitis media with effusion (fluid behind the eardrum) are frequent in children and can cause ear pain, hearing difficulties, and speech delays if left untreated.

  2. Tonsil and Adenoid Problems: Enlarged tonsils and adenoids can obstruct the airway, leading to snoring, sleep apnea, recurrent throat infections, and difficulty breathing.

  3. Allergies and Sinus Issues: Allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and chronic sinusitis can cause nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, and facial pain, impacting a child's ability to sleep, eat, and play.

  4. Speech and Swallowing Disorders: Structural abnormalities or neurological conditions affecting the throat and vocal cords can result in speech delays, swallowing difficulties, and aspiration.

Our Services

  1. Comprehensive Evaluation: Dr. Duplechain conducts thorough evaluations to assess pediatric ENT issues, including ear examinations, hearing tests, endoscopic evaluations, and imaging studies as needed.

  2. Tonsil and Adenoid Surgery: When enlarged tonsils and adenoids are causing significant symptoms or complications, Dr. Duplechain may recommend surgical removal (tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy) to improve breathing and reduce infection risk.

  3. Ear Tube Placement: For children with recurrent ear infections or chronic fluid buildup in the middle ear, Dr. Duplechain may recommend tympanostomy tube insertion to improve ventilation and prevent future infections.

  4. Frenectomy: Is a minor surgical procedure that involves the removal or modification of a frenulum, a small fold of tissue in the mouth that connects two structures.

  5. Custom-molded Ear Plugs: Offers unparalleled comfort, protection, and versatility for individuals in various environments, from industrial settings to recreational activities.
